The Shipyards Wedding Photographer

The Shipyards in North Vancouver gives you the city and the water in the same frame — industrial lines, the harbour, and downtown Vancouver sitting right across it. It is a very different feeling from a garden wedding, and for the right couple it is exactly right.

Kayleigh and Dustin were married here in October, which is my quiet argument for a shoulder-season wedding on the waterfront: soft light, fewer crowds, and a city that looks its best under a bit of weather.

How I photograph a day here

Waterfront light moves quickly and the wind has opinions, so I keep portraits efficient — we will not be out there for an hour. I will guide you through posing throughout, and the rest of the day I photograph as it happens.
