Cecil Park House is a heritage house wedding in the middle of the city — grand rooms, good windows, and grounds that give you somewhere to go between the ceremony and dinner without ever getting into a car.

Dylan and Erin were married here, and the whole day had a lovely vintage quality to it that the house brought out on its own.

How I photograph a day here

A heritage house means beautiful interiors and, often, changeable light — a bright room and a dim hallway two steps apart. That is a technical problem, and it is mine, not yours. You will not be asked to move somewhere unflattering because the light was easier there.

The rest of the day I photograph quietly, as it happens. For portraits I direct you the whole way through.
